حقائق سريعة: أثناء المشي بين الأعمدة المدببة التي تآكلت بفعل الرياح والمياه في الصخور الطوفية الناعمة، تشعر بأن الحجارة العارية تتفتت كالرمل ويتساقط الغبار من أصابعك. يصل ارتفاع أعلى الأعمدة إلى 10-15 متراً، وفي بعضها توجد تجاويف على شكل نوافذ وحواف حادة رفيعة تشكل ظلالاً دراماتيكية في الصور.
النقاط البارزة: مع انخفاض أشعة شمس المساء، تصطبغ الأسطح الحجرية باللون الأحمر والبرتقالي، وتتغير الألوان في غضون دقائق وكأنها وليمة دراماتيكية. وفقاً لقصة يرويها المرشد محمد أوستا، كان أعمق جوف في الوادي بعمق حوالي 2.5 متر يُستخدم كقبو، وعندما تضع يدك داخله لا تزال رائحة التراب الرطب والعشب تفوح منه.
