Datos rápidos: La obsesiva colección de un hombre durante cuatro décadas reunió más de 6.000 piezas que van desde artefactos egipcios hasta artes decorativas francesas. El edificio en sí es una obra maestra de la arquitectura modernista portuguesa de los años 60, envuelto alrededor de un tranquilo patio ajardinado.
Destacados: Gulbenkian seleccionó personalmente cada pieza de este museo, y su gusto se inclinaba hacia la perfección más que hacia las tendencias. Verás una sola sala donde un manuscrito armenio iluminado del siglo XIV se encuentra junto a un jarrón de cristal de Lalique y una pintura de Rembrandt, elegidos puramente porque el coleccionista los amaba.
