Datos rápidos: Construido con 12 millones de ladrillos, este palacio fue una vez la residencia real más imponente del sudeste asiático. La estructura original se elevaba siete pisos, aunque hoy solo quedan los primeros tres niveles de muros majestuosos.
Destacados: Caminar entre estos muros significa entrar en un sitio que en el siglo XII contenía más de mil habitaciones. Las paredes aún conservan huellas de yeso coloreado y agujeros para las vigas de madera, detalles que cuentan la increíble ingeniería de los constructores cingaleses.
