クイックファクト: かつては最高警備の刑務所とハンセン病患者のコロニーがあったこの島は、現在ではアルビノのロバが野生化して生息し、非公式のマスコットとなっている。700以上の植物種が52平方キロメートルの島全体に生育し、ターコイズブルーの海は地中海で最も透明度の高いものの一つに数えられている。
見どころ: 純白の毛並みと青い目を持つアルビノのロバ120頭の群れが島中を自由に歩き回っている。囚人や世話人が残していった動物たちの子孫である。夕暮れ時に海岸沿いの道をのんびりと歩く彼らの姿を目にすることがあるかもしれない。淡い毛並みがピンク色の花崗岩の崖に映えて輝く。
