概要
クイックファクト: 花崗岩の城壁と金箔の屋根が光を浴び、桜の花と広い堀が美しい反射を生み出し、まるで絵はがきのようです。そびえ立つ天守閣の中に足を踏み入れると、現代的な博物館で侍の物語を展開し、展望階へのエレベーターで市街のパノラマと意外なスケール感を楽しめます。
見どころ: 公園の周りには3000本以上の桜の木があり、3月末の満開時には淡いピンクの桜の天蓋と紙のように柔らかな花びらが堀に舞い、天守閣の外側五階と内側八階がまるでバラ色の湖に浮かんでいるかのように見えます。天守閣の博物館では、金箔が輝く再現された黄金の茶室に腰を下ろせます。こもった香の香りが豊臣秀吉が小さな演劇のような茶会を催している様子を思い浮かばせます。
インサイダーヒント
- 歩きやすい靴を履いてください。天守閣にはエレベーターがありますが、多くの展示品は階段での移動が必要で、公園内も長距離を歩くことになります。
- 西の丸庭園や大手門の橋から城を撮影すると、堀や石垣とともに定番の写真が撮れます。
- エレベーターの待ち時間を避けるため、まず最上階に行ってパノラマの景色を楽しみ、その後展示を見ながら下りてくるのがおすすめです。
