クイックファクト: 港を見下ろす岩だらけの露頭にそびえるこの要塞は、少なくとも16世紀からマスカットの港を守ってきました。その双子であるアル・ジャラリ砦は湾の真向かいに位置し、かつては両砦が港の入口を鎖で閉ざして出入りを管理していました。
