見どころ: 杉の並木道を進むと、18ヘクタールの公園に1930年代のアール・デコ調の別荘が池、椿の花壇、刈り込まれた生垣の間に佇み、鳩の羽音と学芸員のブーツが砂利を踏む音が聞こえるほど静かである。アルヴァロ・シザ・ヴィエイラによって設計され1999年に開館した現代美術館は意図的に低く抑えられ、景観が眺めを支配するようにされており、地元のガイドは今でも、早朝の霧で展示全体が屋外に移動せざるを得なくなり、公園が偶然の屋外ギャラリーになったという風変わりな話を語っている。
