クイックファクト: 建物自体はネオエジプト様式建築の顕著な例であり、ロシアでは数少ないそのような構造物の一つである。その展示品は、先史時代のマンモスの骨から、第二次世界大戦におけるシベリアの役割を記録した人工物にまで及び、コレクションには40万点以上の収蔵品がある。

見どころ: 博物館の玉座のような椅子には、かつて最後のロシア皇帝ニコライ2世が1891年のクラスノヤルスク訪問時に座っており、オリジナルの張地や、高官たちによって滑らかに磨耗した肘掛けを今でも見ることができる。建物のファサードもまた物語を語っている。巨大な柱には、古代エジプトの寺院に着想を得た蓮とパピルスのモチーフが彫刻されており、シベリアの古代の過去の神秘性を呼び起こすために選ばれた。
