概要
クイックファクト: 街を見下ろす山腹に位置するこの寺院群は、参拝者と景色を求める人々の両方を惹きつけ、長いナーガの階段が香りの漂う空気の中を登っていく。黄金の尖塔は夜明けに陽を受け、サフラン色の袈裟をまとった僧侶たちが托鉢の際に読経し、色彩、香り、儀式の忘れがたい融合を生み出している。
見どころ: 双頭のナーガの階段を306段上る。一枚一枚の鱗が光を反射し、参拝者と巡礼者が共に歩く儀式の道を導く。仏舎利を納めていると言われる小さな聖遺箱が輝くチェディの下にあり、約20人の僧侺が朝の儀式を行い、中庭に読経と香の香りを満たす。
