Hoogtepunten: Step into the 300-square-meter Victoria House, where giant Amazonian water lily pads stretch over a meter across and can support the weight of a small child. The greenhouse mimics the Amazon basin's seasonal flood cycles, complete with a heating system that keeps the water at a precise 28 degrees Celsius year-round.

- Arrive right when the gates open at 9 AM to have the garden nearly to yourself before school groups arrive.
- Skip the cafe and bring your own snacks to enjoy on one of the benches near the alpine garden.
- The succulent collection in the southern greenhouse is surprisingly dramatic with cacti taller than a person.
- Wear layers even in summer the tropical greenhouse stays warm and humid while the outdoor paths can be breezy.
