Binnen ontmoeten bezoekers de Heilige Kroon van Hongarije, tentoongesteld onder die koepel, een klein maar krachtig symbool te midden van oprijzend marmer, gebeeldhouwde beelden en fonkelend bladgoud.
Hoogtepunten: Achter de centrale glazen vitrine zit de Heilige Kroon van Sint Stefanus onder zacht goud en spots, met email en edelstenen die het rivierlicht vangen als een kleine zon, een relikwie die na de Tweede Wereldoorlog werd veiliggesteld en pas in 1978 werd teruggegeven. Boven torent een koepel van 96 meter over een doolhof van 691 kamers, en na donker zijn de neogotische torenspitsen en rode dakpannen badend in amberkleurig licht zodat de hele gevel op een verlicht honingraat lijkt.
