Hoogtepunten: Bij zonsondergang in de lente en herfst staat de zon direct achter het Sultans Al Alam-paleis aan het westelijke uiteinde van de boulevard, wat een venster van 15 minuten gouden licht creëert dat de wit-gouden paleisgevel schildert. De lokale bevolking noemt dit het "gouden uur van Al Alam", en fotografen komen een uur eerder om de bankjes bij de vismarkt te claimen voor het vrije uitzicht.
