Korte feiten: Deze 36 meter hoge moskee werd in 1910 door koning Carol I gebouwd voor de islamitische gemeenschap van Roemenië. Vanaf de toren heb je uitzicht over de hele oude binnenstad van Constanța en de Zwarte Zee.
Hoogtepunten: Wanneer je 's middags in de moskee staat, valt het zonlicht door 24 gekleurde glas-in-loodramen precies op de gebedsnis. De keramische tegelpatronen imiteren die van de Sultan Ahmetmoskee in Istanbul, omdat ze door dezelfde meesters zijn gemaakt.

- Climbing the minaret is steep, wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
- The best photo spot is from the square in front of the mosque, where you can see both the tower and the sea.
- Visit on Friday morning to hear the imam's call to prayer in a lively atmosphere.
- After the mosque, walk to the side street where an Ottoman-style café is located. The coffee comes from a Turkish coffee machine.
