The waterfall looks most beautiful between November and April when the weather is clear and pleasant. Between 8 and 10 in the morning there is less crowd here and the lighting is excellent for photography.

Fatos rápidos: Esta cachoeira, que corre nas densas florestas do distrito de Ratnapura, cai de cerca de 25 metros de altura em três níveis. Perto dali, a água termal da cachoeira Galle mineral flui pelas famosas áreas de mineração de gemas de Ratnapura.
Destaques: A singularidade aqui é que, ao se banhar nas pequenas piscinas naturais formadas sob a cachoeira, você pode ver pequenos fragmentos de gemas brilhando entre a água. Durante a monção, a pressão da água aumenta tanto que o rugido da cachoeira pode ser ouvido claramente a dois quilômetros de distância.

- The wet rocks are very slippery, so wear sandals or shoes with good grip when going into the water.
- There is a small cave on the third level of the waterfall where the view of the water looks amazing, be sure to go there.
- Very few people come here on weekdays, so choose a Tuesday or Wednesday to avoid the crowds.
- The nearby Galle hot spring is just a 10 minute walk away, explore both together.
