Fatos rápidos: Este santuário, que se estende por 32.000 hectares, abriga mais de 500 elefantes que vagam livremente. Aqui são encontradas mais de 200 espécies de aves, incluindo o pavão-srilankês e a águia.

- Wear khaki or green colored clothes and avoid bright colors so as not to distract the animals.
- Book an open-top jeep for the safari; photography is difficult in a closed jeep.
- Animals are rarely seen between 12 pm and 3 pm, so choose morning or evening time.
- Be sure to carry binoculars and a water bottle with you; water is not available inside the park.
