Краткие факты: Когда внешняя корка расплавленной магмы быстро остывала и затвердевала, поток внутри продолжался, и в результате остались полые туннели длиной более километра. Внутри температура заметно ниже, чем на поверхности, воздух остается прохладным и влажным.

Основные моменты: Самая впечатляющая деталь: свисающие с потолка сталактитоподобные образования, созданные не водой, а каплями лавы. Местами потолок имеет толщину всего в несколько сантиметров, и солнечный свет просачивается сквозь тонкие трещины, рисуя яркие лучи света в темноте.
