Под крышей лабиринта скрываются сотни лавок с фирменными смесями специй и сладостями, многие рецепты продавцы передают из поколения в поколение.
Основные моменты: Построенный в 1664 году по инициативе Турхан-султан, крытый рынок до сих пор живёт по старым ритмам торговли: продавцы щедро насыпают щепотки куркумы или паприки прямо в вашу ладонь и предлагают маленькие кусочки лукума, чтобы вы могли сравнить ароматы. Воздух густо пропитан сладкой розовой водой и душистыми нотами шафрана, а при свете витрин мешки с пряностями выглядят как палитра художника: ярко-жёлтая куркума, тёмно-красный паприка и зелёный кардамон, выложенные в аккуратные конусы.
