The vibe is chill but some spots felt overrated and crowded. Great for a relaxed stroll along the coast though.
If you want the best views without the crowds, head out early morning to the Foz do Douro lighthouse, it’s magical before all the tourists arrive.
The beaches are gorgeous but expect a lot of tourists in peak season. Weather was perfect in May, sunny and warm. Great for a 3-day short break!
Loved the seafood here, especially the grilled sardines at local spots. Not too pricey and way fresher than the tourist menus.
Stayed 5 days. Enough time to enjoy quiet mornings by the sea and explore nearby Porto. Would recommend a day trip to the river beaches.
