Snabba fakta: Denna bronsåldersfästning, som reser sig tre våningar hög med en centralkammare fortfarande täckt av sitt ursprungliga 3 500 år gamla valvtak, byggdes med över 200 000 stenar utan något murbruk. Dess nedre ingång är bara 1 meter hög, vilket tvingar varje besökare att böja sig, en medveten defensiv design som gjorde det nästan omöjligt att attackera tornet.
Höjdpunkter: Under utgrävningar på 1950-talet upptäckte arkeologer att hela fästningen hade begravts avsiktligt under ton av jord och sten efter att den övergivits, vilket perfekt bevarade det 20 meter höga centraltornet och dess omgivande byhyddor. Du kan fortfarande se de ursprungliga lerugnarna, malstenarna och till och med förkolnade kornkorn precis där de föll när nuragerna förseglade platsen runt 600 f.Kr.

- Wear closed-toe shoes with good grip: the stone stairs inside the tower are steep, uneven, and worn smooth by thousands of years of footsteps.

- Visit the nearby Nuragic well temple of Santa Cristina (30 minutes away) to see remarkably preserved Bronze Age sacred architecture for a deeper experience.
- Photograph the central tower from the outer village path at golden hour, where the setting sun casts long shadows through the hut foundations.
