Om

Snabba fakta: Beneath the church floor lie the remains of former slaves and prominent colonial families, making this space a living archive of Jamaican history. When you step inside, sunlight breaks through the stained glass and creates colorful shadows on the limestone walls that are over two centuries old.

Höjdpunkter: This was Bob Marley's home during the 1960s, where some of his earliest hits were created. The walls are covered with murals that testify to the birth of reggae music and community life.

Insidertips

  • Ask the guide to show you the original lyrics on the wall in Bob's room, many visitors miss them.
  • Bring water and a hat because the yard does not have much shade and the sun can be strong.
  • Do not miss the mural painted by local artist Kebi at the entrance, it is a real attraction for photos.
  • Visit the nearby pub after the tour to try homemade ginger beer made by the neighbors.
