There is no entry fee to reach the waterfall, only a nominal parking fee. Hire a tuk-tuk from the nearby village, it will be cheaper than a bus or private cab.

Snabba fakta: Detta vattenfall, som rinner genom de täta skogarna i Ratnapuradistriktet, faller från 30 meters höjd och har exakt formen av ett bodhiträdsblad. Vattenfallet faller i tre nivåer och dess vatten rinner ut i Kuruviitafloden, som senare blir en del av Kalufloden.
Höjdpunkter: Under regnperioden när vattenflödet är som kraftigast hörs vattenfallets dån tydligt upp till en kilometer bort och vattendimman skapar regnbågsliknande scener runtomkring. Lokalbefolkningen tror att bad under vattenfallet botar hudsjukdomar, vilket är anledningen till att tusentals pilgrimer kommer hit varje år.

- Wear shoes with good grip due to the narrow valley and slippery path; going in slippers or sandals can be dangerous.
- There is a small platform on the left side of the waterfall which offers the best photo angle of the entire waterfall; reach there before 8 am on weekends.
- Do not swim directly under the waterfall, the water pressure can be very strong; instead bathe in the natural pool formed on the side.
- There are no food shops nearby, so be sure to carry a water bottle and some light snacks with you.
