Getting around

In Lima, walk the Historic Center and use the Metropolitan train to cover longer distances between the museum and the park, with Uber or Cabify as backup at roughly 0.6 soles per kilometer. From Lima, take a short flight or comfortable bus to Cusco, then connect to the Sacred Valley by private transfer or tour van, about 1.5 hours each way. For Machu Picchu, board the train from Ollantaytambo station, roughly 1.5 hours to Aguas Calientes, then a 25-minute shuttle bus to the citadel. In Cusco, walk to Sacsayhuaman, use the cable car gondolas for city views, and rely on Beat or Cabify for family-friendly trips to markets and museums.
