Getting around

Basing yourself in Bled, walk or cycle the lakeside loop and the short trail to Vintgar Gorge. From Bled bus station, take the direct bus to Piran (about 2.5 hours) for the coastal day, then wander Piran's old town on foot and rent a bike along the coast. For Ljubljana, take the train from Bled Jezero station (roughly 1 hour); inside the capital, walking covers the old town and hidden courtyards, while the funicular or a walk up gets you to the castle. Use Bolt or Uber for gaps, around €1.20 per kilometer. On day three, a local bus heads west toward the Soča Valley for hiking and swimming; return to Ljubljana by train for the underground music venue.
