Governor Generoso (coastal area and beaches)
Best time to visit
Visit at sunrise for calm seas, cooler temperatures and the best light for photos. Dry season, November to May, offers clearer water and safer boat trips; avoid June to November when typhoons are more likely.
Budget tips
Many beaches have no formal entrance fee, only small parking or ecology fees of about 20–100 PHP; bring cash. Save by joining group boat trips and buying supplies in Governor Generoso town rather than from beachfront vendors.

About
Rychlá fakta: Craggy coastal headlands give way to swaths of glossy black and golden sand, where small wooden banca boats dot the shoreline at sunrise. Warm water temperatures around 28–30°C and surprisingly clear visibility make snorkeling rewarding, and occasional offshore currents bring schools of tuna and reef fish close to shore.
Hlavní zajímavosti: A tidal sandbar stretches about 200 meters at low tide, carpeted with hundreds of tiny iridescent shells that crunch underfoot and lure flocks of wading birds by midmorning. Local fishers burn aromatic coconut husks at dusk, the smoke mixing with salty air while lanterns reveal the neon-blue weave of nets being sorted, a scene that smells of smoke, sea, and grilled fish.

- Carry cash, expect small parking or ecology fees and few card machines in the villages.
- Join a shared boat from the town pier to split costs, and ask fishermen for current snorkeling spots and tide advice.
