Rychlá fakta: Toto muzeum sídlí v areálu středověkého hradu vévodů z Hercegoviny, kde dodnes stojí hradby a věže ze 14. století. Sbírka čítá přes 3000 artefaktů, od ilyrské keramiky po osmanské zbraně a tradiční oděvy, a pokrývá několik tisíciletí historie.
Zajímavosti: Pod muzejním nádvořím se skrývá kompletní římské podzemní vilové sídlo. Mozaiková dlažba na podlaze je tak dobře zachovalá, až to bere dech; geometrické vzory staré 2000 let jsou stále barevně zřetelné. Z hradní věže je výhled na řeku Trebižat vinoucí se vápencovou soutěskou a na čtyři zvonice středověkých kostelů v dohledu.

- The mosaic floors of the Roman villa underground are actually clearer on overcast days, as there is less glare from the glass windows.
- Wear comfortable flat shoes. The cobblestone slope leading up to the castle is steep and slippery.
