Rychlá fakta: Kužel vysoký 2 652 metrů se tyčí přímo z břehu jezera, jeho symetrie je tak dokonalá, že ve filmech a televizních záběrech představoval horu Fudži. Jeho ledovce dodnes stékají po svazích, přesto k poslední erupci došlo teprve nedávno, v roce 1869.
Zajímavosti: Za zrcadlově klidných rán se celý zasněžený kužel odráží vzhůru nohama ve vodě a za soumraku ledovec zrůžoví do lososového odstínu, než obloha pohasne. Vrzající červeno-bílá lanovka vozí lyžaře na svah od roku 1936, což z ní činí jeden z nejstarších stále fungujících vleků v Jižní Americe.
