Rychlá fakta: Kolem 15 kamenných staveb je rozeseto po skalnatém návrší, obranná pevnost postavená lidem atacameño ve středověku. Krvavá bitva v roce 1540 přiměla obránce opustit výšinu a zbytky zdi stojí dodnes.
Zajímavosti: Jediný úzký otvor ve zdi sloužil jako brána, obrana tak účinná, že hrstka lidí dokázala udržet celou armádu venku. Nahoře na hřebeni, přes 100 výškových metrů nad řekou, se vám do jediného pohledu vejde celé údolí a 5 916 metrů vysoká sopka Licancabur.
