Rychlá fakta: Three floors of local history unfold inside a former 16th century monastery that once served as the summer residence for the prince-bishops of Augsburg. Among the most prized exhibits are the "Füssen Madonna" from 1480 and a collection of over 100 hand-carved violins and lutes, reflecting the city's 400-year tradition of lute and violin making.

Zajímavosti: The museum's hidden treasure is an entire 16th century "wonder chamber" (Wunderkammer) discovered intact behind a false wall during renovations in the 1970s. Inside were peculiar objects like a taxidermied crocodile, narwhal tusk believed to be a unicorn horn, and a two-headed calf, all assembled by a wealthy local merchant to astonish his guests.
