Rychlá fakta: Více než 600 malovaných hrobek ze 4. století tvoří tento paleokřesťanský pohřební komplex. Fresky odhalují biblické výjevy a křesťanské symboly v ohromujícím stavu zachovalosti.
Zajímavosti: V Pohřební komoře svatého Petra a Pavla uvidíte fresky zářící okrovými a červenými barvami, jako by byly namalovány včera. Jedna z hrobek obsahuje nejstarší známé vyobrazení Panny Marie s Ježíškem v celém křesťanském umění.
