Rychlá fakta: Více než 80 000 lidí se zde může najednou modlit na jeho rozlehlém nádvoří a mezi sloupovými síněmi. Jeho výstavba začala na konci 19. století za vlády ženské panovnice, Nawab Shah Jahan Begum, a pokračovala po etapách po celá desetiletí.
