Rychlá fakta: Zhruba 25 000 poutníků každoročně vystoupí na 764 metrů vysokou horu v neděli zvanou Reek Sunday, poslední neděli v červenci. Někteří oddaní poutníci zdolávají cestu bosí, což je tradice sahající až k pokání svatého Patrika.
Zajímavosti: V polovině cesty na horu najdete malý bílý kostelík, kde se koná mše i během burácejících atlantických bouří. Za jasného dne je z vrcholu vidět napříč 365 drumlinskými ostrovy Clew Bay, z nichž každý je pozůstatkem ledovce vymodelovaného ledem před 12 000 lety.

- Bring a waterproof jacket even on sunny mornings, as Atlantic weather can shift from clear to horizontal rain within 20 minutes.
- Use the wooden walking stick you can borrow from the pile at the base, it's free and makes the descent far safer on tired knees.
- Skip the summit on Reek Sunday itself unless you enjoy elbow-to-elbow pilgrim traffic, the day before or after offers the same views with a fraction of the crowd.
