Avoid weekend crowds by visiting early in the morning. The lavender fields open at dawn and it's peaceful then.
The lavender fields are stunning but expect crowds in peak season. Weather was cooler than expected in July. Great for a 2-day trip.
Around late spring, fewer tourists and still lots of flowers. I stayed 3 days and felt it was just right to explore calmly.
Winter brought the powder snow and the skiing was top notch, but prepare for very cold nights, not for a quick trip really.
Loved the fresh air and relaxing vibe. The farm visits are charming but some are very commercialized now, felt a bit overpriced.
