Rychlá fakta: Muzeum uchovává přes 4 000 děl v rozlehlé budově z doby Sovětské unie, která původně byla zbudována jako muzeum revoluce. Jeho sbírka schádi od litevské avantgardy až po mezinárodní velikány jako Andyho Warhola a Jaspera Johnse.

Zajímavosti: V nejvyšším etáži velké vitrážové okno od litevského umělce Kazyse Morkūnase celý den zalévá schodiště měnjající se jantarovou světlo. Stálá expozice taky zahrnuje zřídka videný hologramický portrét Jonase Mekase, legendárního avantgardového filmaře, který řežívá, když okolo něho procházíte.
