Rychlá fakta: A four hundred and sixty-nine year old fortress guards the entrance to Marsamxett Harbor, and with its eight meters of height it dominates the coast. The tower has spent its entire history as part of the defense system with which Malta protected its coast from attacks from the sea.
Zajímavosti: Few people know that this tower once served as a quarry for local buildings, as villagers extracted stone from its walls until it was placed under protection. Today it stands as a witness to centuries, with walls that remember both knights and pirates, and from its top opens a view that encompasses both Valletta and the entire bay.
