Rychlá fakta: You can wander through roughly 150 rooms and step across patterned zellij tiles that catch the sun in dazzling mosaics. Lavish carved cedar ceilings, painted stucco, and snug riads create shifting pockets of light and shadow that make every turn unexpectedly photogenic.
Hlavní zajímavosti: Si Moussa rose from slavery to become grand vizier, then his son Bou Ahmed expanded the estate while enlisting more than 150 artisans to carve ceilings and lay intricate tilework. Wander into the main courtyard and you’ll smell orange blossom, hear the trickle of a long reflecting basin, and watch sunlight slice through latticework onto faded jewel-colored tiles.
