The culture is fascinating but it’s not a cheap trip. Expect to spend more on lodging and tours than I initially planned.
Weather was brutal for me, unexpected winds and dust storms ruined two days of safari plans, pack good gear if you go.
Loved the quiet vibe and vast landscapes, but be ready for chilly nights even in summer. Stayed 8 days and felt it was just right to explore.
Avoid the crowded spots in Windhoek for meals, I found better and cheaper eats a couple blocks away near Market Square.
Book your Etosha park tours early in the morning, it’s less crowded and animals are more active around dawn.
