Rychlá fakta: Z 8 kilometrů chodeb Demänovské Jeskyně svobody jsou 2,1 kilometru přístupné veřejnosti a vchod se otevírá z 60 metrů hluboké propasti. Objevena byla v roce 1921 a od té doby je jednou z nejnavštěvovanějších krápníkových jeskyní na Slovensku, ročně ji navštíví více než 200 000 turistů.
Zajímavosti: Jedním z nejúchvatnějších sálů jeskyně je 45 metrů vysoká Katedrála, kde štíhlé krápníkové sloupy visící ze stropu září v odrazech reflektorů, jako by byly vyřezány z drahokamů. Odraz křišťálově čistých jezírek a stálá teplota 16 °C vytváří takové jedinečné mikroklima, jaké jinde nenajdete.

- Put on a thick sweater even in summer, as the cave is a constant 6-7 degrees throughout.
- Photography is permitted even without a tripod, but flash does not bring out many formations nicely, so try to take advantage of the natural colored lighting.
- The last daily tour is usually less crowded than the morning time slots.
- The parking lot in front of the cave is free, but in the tourist season it is worth arriving early for the spaces.
