Rychlá fakta: Osmanská pevnost v Berbeře byla postavena Osmany v 19. století na ochranu strategického přístavu na pobřeží Adenského zálivu. Hradby pevnosti se tyčí do výšky 10 metrů a z jejích věží se otevírá panoramatický výhled na město a tyrkysové vody zálivu.
Zajímavosti: Uvnitř pevnosti se dochovala původní osmanská děla z 19. století, která jsou stále namířena směrem k moři, jako by očekávala útok. Místní věří, že pod pevností vedou tajné podzemní chodby spojující ji s centrem Berbery, ale žádná z nich dosud nebyla nalezena.
