Rychlá fakta: Soaring 120 meters above the El Tajo gorge, this 18th-century limestone bridge connects the old and new quarters of Ronda. Over 40 prisoners were held inside its central chamber during the Spanish Civil War, adding a haunting chapter to its history.
Zajímavosti: The bridge hides a secret room inside its central arch, once used as a prison and now a small museum that lets visitors stand inside the structure itself. Peer through the barred window for a vertigo-inducing view straight down to the valley floor 98 meters below.

- For the classic postcard view, head to the Mirador de Aldehuela on the east side of the gorge 15 minutes before sunset.
- Skip the bridge at midday when tour buses arrive between 11 AM and 2 PM for the best solo experience.
- Wear sturdy shoes with grip if you plan to walk the path down into the gorge for an incredible view looking up at the bridge.
- The interpretive center inside the bridge closes at 6 PM, so visit the chamber early if that interests you.
