Rychlá fakta: Crescent-shaped and stretching nearly two kilometers, the beach faces the Indian Ocean with turquoise waters that stay calm during the southwest monsoon from November to April. Right at one end, a massive rocky outcrop called Parrot Rock emerges from the shallows, completely accessible on foot at low tide.
Zajímavosti: At dawn, local fishermen still push their single-hulled outrigger canoes into the surf using techniques passed down for generations, their silhouettes backlit by the rising sun. Between December and March, you can watch blue whales and sperm whales spouting just a few kilometers offshore, making this one of the best land-based whale watching spots on the planet.

- Walk to Parrot Rock at low tide for a 360-degree view of the coastline, but avoid slippery rocks during the climb.
- The far southern end near the palm grove is much quieter than the main stretch with far fewer vendors.
- Skip the restaurants right on the main beach path and walk one street inland for better seafood at half the price.
