Rychlá fakta: Barokní sídlo z roku 1919 patřilo rodině Koo, jednomu z nejvlivnějších tchajwanských klanů během japonské koloniální éry. Více než 3 000 artefaktů zaplňuje místnosti, od bohatě vyřezávané svatební postele po vintage gramofony a starožitné dýmky na opium.
Zajímavosti: Samotné sídlo bylo rezidencí Koo Hsien-junga, muže, který v roce 1895 slavně otevřel brány Tchaj-peje japonským silám a navždy změnil trajektorii Tchaj-wanu. Návštěvníci stále mohou vidět původní rodinný jídelní stůl prostřený porcelánem, jako by Kooovi právě odešli od formální večeře.
