Rychlá fakta: Spread across five floors inside a historic hospital building, this museum holds more than 10 million items documenting conflict from World War I to the present. Visitors walk through a replicated World War I trench, step inside a pitch-black Blitz experience with authentic sounds and smells, and stand beneath a suspended Harrier jump jet.
Zajímavosti: A single poppy from the Tower of London's 2014 installation that drew millions is preserved here, its fragile paper petals still intact. The museum's attic hides the handwritten diary of a 12-year-old Belgian refugee named Marthe, its pages smudged with charcoal and tears from 1914.
