Zajímavosti: Tucked inside the Thomas Jefferson Building is a tiny, climate-controlled vault holding Thomas Jefferson's personal library of 6,487 books, which he sold to Congress in 1815 to restart the collection after the British burned the original. The books are arranged in Jefferson's own three-category system of Memory, Reason, and Imagination, a quirky organizational method you can still see today.
