Insider tips
- Bring water shoes because the pebbles at the water's edge are larger and can be uncomfortable for bare feet.
- The best angle for a photo is from the south side of the beach at 6 PM when the sunset casts golden light through the pine branches.
- Avoid the beach on weekends in July and August. It is quietest on weekdays before 10 AM or after 4 PM.
- It is in the shade of pines for almost the entire day, so bring a lower factor sunscreen than you would bring to open beaches.
