Quick facts: Over 25 historic buildings were moved here from across Funen Island and reconstructed piece by piece. More than 200 different heirloom plant varieties grow in the village gardens, varieties that had nearly disappeared from modern farming.
Highlights: A baker in period dress fires up the 19th century wood-burning oven each morning, filling the cobblestone streets with the smell of rye bread and cinnamon. Visitors can buy that still-warm bread straight from the bake house, torn open with their hands just as villagers would have done 150 years ago.
