About

Quick facts: It rises 176 meters above Misina Hill, making it the tallest building in Hungary. Its observation platform offers a full 360-degree rotation with views that reach up to 60 kilometers on clear days.

Highlights: The revolving restaurant completes a full turn every 60 minutes, just the perfect time for a full meal while the landscape slowly changes around you. On clear days you can see the mountains of Croatia to the south and Lake Balaton to the north from the same table.

  • Go early on weekdays to enjoy the viewpoint almost empty and with no queues for the elevator.
  • If you go up in fog, wait a few minutes: the low clouds dissipate quickly and reveal the views.
  • The surrounding forest has marked trails to walk to the tower from the center of Pécs (about 40 minutes uphill).
  • Bring binoculars to make out the Croatian villages and the outlines of Lake Balaton to the north.
