Quick facts: Steps cut straight into the cliff lead down to a shingle cove with water so clear you can count the stones on the seabed 10 meters down. Sunbeds are scarce here, which keeps the crowd small even in peak August when nearby beaches are shoulder to shoulder.
Highlights: At the far end of the cove, swimmers can circle the rock promontory on which a centuries-old monastery sits, and at midday you can hear its bells echo off the water. The cliff face glows golden in late sun, turning the whole bay into a private theater just as the day-trippers start climbing back up the stairs.

- Bring water shoes, as the shingle and rocky entry are unforgiving on bare feet.
