About
Quick facts: Over 30 species of tropical orchids bloom here all year round, creating a spectacle of colors every season. The stream water that runs through the garden comes directly from the natural springs of the Jamaican mountains.
Highlights: In the center of the garden there is a natural pool formed by the falling water, where the water color changes from turquoise to emerald depending on the afternoon light. Blue morpho butterflies fly freely over the flowers and often land on visitors' shoulders, unafraid.
Insider tips
- Wear light cotton clothes and non-slip shoes, because the paths get wet near the waterfalls.
- A camera with a macro lens is ideal for photos of orchids and butterflies, since they stay still for a few seconds.
- Avoid visiting after 2:00 PM when the tourist buses arrive and the place gets more crowded.
- Bring mosquito repellent with you, especially in the rainy months from May to October.
