Highlights: Few travelers realize the headland doubles as a ringside seat: airport arrivals flare in low over the water while waves hammer black rocks a few strides below your shoes. On stormy winter days, surf hurls spray 10 meters skyward and coats the tower base in salt so thick the keepers must repaint every couple of years.
