Quick facts: Čegar Hill hides a notable battleground between Serbian rebels and the Ottoman army in 1809, where Miloš Obilić lives on as a legendary hero of Serbian history. At the top of the hill, a monument to Stevan Sinđelić was erected, who heroically sacrificed himself.
Highlights: Every year on May 19, a memorial ceremony is held at Čegar, where a military orchestra plays and people pay tribute to Sinđelić's courage by throwing themselves into the abyss of the trenches. A feeling of grandeur and pride dominates the scene with a view of the surroundings.
